For inpatient referrals, please page the Infectious Diseases (internal) Fellow on page 5787. We aim to see all new referrals on the same day.

Outpatient clinics

We have an Infectious Diseases clinic each Monday afternoon at the RCH Outpatients A2 Desk. We see children with a broad range of problems including recurrent and persistent infections, perinatal infections, and illness in the returned traveller. We also hold a monthly Travel Clinic for children with chronic conditions (e.g. asplenia, cystic fibrosis, post-transplant, other immunocompromised, etc) who require specialist travel medicine advice.

The Infectious Diseases consultants  also offer appointments in their private rooms.

Telephone advice

We offer advice to GPs, paediatricians and other medical staff. Please note that we are unable to provide travel immunisation advice.

During office hours calls should be directed to the Infectious Diseases (external) Fellow on page 5739 through the RCH switchboard on 03 9345 5522.

For urgent calls out of hours the on-call Infectious Diseases Consultant can be contacted via the RCH switchboard on 03 9345 5522.
